D-Resort Göcek is within walking distance of Göcek and its bustling marinas, including the spectacular D-Marin, with its showstopping yachts. Walk from here into town along parallel promenades, passing luxurious villas and resorts built along the canal, and you might feel like you’re in Venice. The town is busiest between 7 and 10pm, perfect for when you’re out with kids, and restaurants adorned with fairy lights line the streets around the marinas.
Head further into town to discover the town square, where local weddings take place, and you’ll find more lovely places to eat, drink, and shop.

Location, location, and plenty of day trip potential
The location of D-Resort Göcek makes everything easy – a tranquil oasis within walking distance of buzzy Göcek town. There are myriad Dalaman Coast attractions you can see during your stay:
- Ölüdeniz beach regularly ranks amongst the World’s Most Beautiful Beaches, and is one of the loveliest in Türkiye. It’s a nature reserve with a calm lagoon and curved beach, popular for paragliding, swimming and scuba diving. It’s around a 45-minute drive east from D-Resort Göcek.
- Jump on a boat from Dalyan, around a 30-minute drive from the resort, to visit Turtle Beach, a nesting area for protected loggerhead turtles, and a beautiful white sand paradise. You can stop for a mineral-rich mud bath on the banks of the River Dalyan along the way – though pack a change of clothes, because it might get very messy!
Kayaköy ghost town, Türkiye
- Get spooky at Kayaköy, some 40 miles west of D-Resort Göcek, which is ranked as one of the National Geographic’s Top 10 Ghost Towns of the World. Your older kids might love getting creeped out by the museum village of abandoned, but still standing, Greek-style houses, rumoured to be haunted by the souls of the Greeks massacred there during WWI.
- For older kids who are up for a decent hike, Saklikent Gorge is one of the longest gorges in Europe, and ranks with the likes of Verdon in France or Crete’s Samaria Gorge. It’s part of Saklikent National Park, and located around an hour east of the resort.
