Multigenerational cruises are the perfect way to explore the high seas with family and friends of all ages – and this summer they’re as cheap as £1!
Ambassador Cruise Line is offering a Mediterranean cruise for all the family to enjoy this August and it doesn’t need to cost the earth.
We’ve taken a look at the facts to see if we can tempt you onboard – here’s is everything you need to know about Ambassador multigenerational cruises 2023.
Who is Ambassador Cruise Line?
Ambassador Cruise Line launched in 2021 (the first new British cruise line since 2010) and aims to provide holidaymakers with an authentic cruising experience, blending tradition and innovation.
Operating small to medium-sized ships, Ambassador no-fly cruises travel to the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, Northern Europe and beyond from the port of London Tilbury in Essex – although other regional ports are also available on select cruises. Why not join shore excursions to explore the ports of call in depth?
There’s plenty of fun to be had onboard, too. Ambassador Cruise Line aims to provide an intimate and relaxed cruising experience, with a focus on fine dining, entertainment and exceptional service while wellness facilities further enhance the getaway, thanks to the spa, fitness centre and pool.
What are Ambassador Cruise Line multigenerational cruises?
Ambassador Cruise Line typically targets the 50-plus audience (although adults of any age are welcome to sail with the brand) however, the line also offers a number of designated multigenerational cruises during school holidays so families can sail altogether and enjoy everything Ambassador has to offer.
All infants over six months, as well as older children are welcome onboard Ambassador multigenerational cruises (although it’s worth highlighting there are no specific children’s facilities on board).
In 2022, Ambassador’s Hidden Nordics Treasures itinerary visited Sweden, Denmark and Finland and was open to children and families, while in 2023, the Ambassador multigenerational cruise will head to the Mediterranean and Balearic Islands for 14 nights.
What’s more, these family cruises come with spectacular wallet-friendly savings. Children’s fares cost just £1 and include full board dining and a drinks package (non-alcoholic beverages including unlimited soft drinks). Meanwhile adult fares on the 2023 multigenerational cruise start from £999 which covers all dining plus a free adult drinks package and gratuities.
All in all that comes to just £2,000 for a family of four for a two-week European holiday – just £143 a day!
Why does Ambassador Cruise Line offer multigenerational cruises?
Ambassador’s family cruises are ideal for globetrotters who want to share a love of sailing with their nearest and dearest.
Multigenerational holidays have soared in popularity, especially in a post-Covid world, so Ambassador wants family members of all ages to be able to come together and enjoy the magic of travel.
When is the next Ambassador Cruise Line multigenerational cruise?
The next Ambassador Cruise Line multigenerational cruise 2023 takes place on 12 August 2023, for a duration of 14 nights onboard flagship Ambience.
Where do Ambassador Cruise Line multigenerational cruises sail to?
The upcoming Multigenerational Summer Balearics Getaway sails to Spain, Portugal and the Balearic Islands.
The family cruise leaves from London Tilbury and first calls at Leixoes for Oporto – also known as Porto – in Portugal. The beautiful city is home to a wealth of gems such as the Ribeira district (a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its colourful buildings and narrow, cobbled streets), as well as the Clerigos Tower, Palacio da Bolsa and stunning Sao Bento train station.
As for Spanish ports of call, there’s Palma de Majorca, then Ibiza, where family-friendly activities range from waterslide heaven at the Aguamar water park and idyllic boat tours to hiking one of the island’s nature reserves or exploring Dalt Vila: Ibiza’ historic walled city.
Over in Seville, kids will enjoy the playground and open spaces of Parque de Maria Luisa, visiting the Real Alcazar (once the residence of Spanish kings and queens) and feasting on traditional Spanish cuisine, such as churros or paella.
Finally the last stop on the Ambassador multigenerational cruise is Vigo in northern Spain, for Santiago de Compostela, before your ship Ambience returns to the UK. Adios!
