Perched above the sea, the hotel’s tropical gardens slope gently down towards Carne Beach, where kids can play on the sands, paddle in shallow waters or explore the lively local rockpools. The sheltered bay is also safe for swimming, and a dream if you want to kayak or sail.

Visit from April to September, and experience a trip aboard Alice Rose: The Nare’s traditional gentleman’s motor launch. Your voyage starts with a cruise down the sheltered and beautiful Fal River, then out into the Carrick Roads and over to the Helford River. Here families can enjoy a picnic lunch on the water, then take a swim surrounded by one of the UK’s most stunning Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Speaking of swimming, the hotel’s outdoor pool is heated from May to mid-September, and naturally, the indoor pool is warm year round. More athletic members of the family might also want to spend time on the tennis court. However, our croquet lawn requires no athleticism at all, just a healthy sense of fun and a little competitive spirit.
