How to Make the Most of SeaWorld Orlando

Last updated 1st March 2018

At SeaWorld Orlando, families can experience up-close animal encounters, thrilling attractions and unique events as they learn more about our natural world while making memories that last a lifetime. And with exciting new additions, there is more to explore than ever before at SeaWorld Orlando.

Favorite Attractions

Kraken Unleashed: Virtual Reality Experience

Last year, SeaWorld unleashed the Kraken, taking you on a deep-sea mission alongside sea creatures inspired by extinct and legendary animals of the past, including the mighty Kraken. A custom digital overlay with uniquely designed VR headsets delivers a new one-of-a-kind adventure to this 150-foot-tall, 65-mph fan favorite.

Mako

This is the tallest, fastest and longest roller coaster in Orlando: 200-feet-high, 73 mph and with a track that’s nearly a mile long. Mako is a hypercoaster, which means it’s all about speed, tight turns and feelings of weightlessness at the top of each hill. With its remarkable speed and stature, this powerful new predator challenges even the most confident thrill-seekers.

Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin

Want to explore the mystery and wonder of Antarctic through the eyes of a penguin? SeaWorld’s Antarctica is a family-ride that combines closer-than-ever animal connections with state-of-the-art interactive ride technologies for adventures that are different each time. After stepping off the ride, you’ll see a colony of more than 250 penguins right before your eyes in an expanse that envelopes you in cool extremes, bringing you above and below the icy world of penguins.

Infinity Falls

This year, your family can ride the wild rapids of Infinity Falls, where you are bound to get wet as you descend upon a raging river and its waterfall. The new ride will open by May of 2018.

Incredible Animal Encounters

Dolphin Nursery

Dolphin Nursery is home to dolphin mothers and their calves. This reimagined habitat gives guests the opportunity to get up close to mother and baby dolphins in all new ways. New large-scale acrylic windows offer views at multiple levels to give kids a face-to-face perspective with baby dolphins. The next generation of multi-purpose digital displays allows SeaWorld educators to share information about dolphin behavior, biology and conservation with guests like never before.

TurtleTrek

Featuring two massive naturalistic habitats, TurtleTrek is home to manatees, sea turtles and a 360-degree dome theater. The dome allows a hyper-realistic 3-D movie to be shown all around guests and even above them. It’s a unique and immersive way of showcasing a sea turtle’s epic and astounding journey. Guests have the opportunity to experience two different types of habitats, one filled with hundreds of freshwater fish and gentle manatees, the other home to more than 1,500 saltwater fish and more than a dozen sea turtles.

Shark Encounter

An almost 85-foot tunnel takes guests underwater, surrounding them with the spine-chilling denizens of the deep, including barracuda, venomous fish and sharks.

Up-Close Tours

Available year-round, Up-Close Tours provides an array of educational opportunities to interact with amazing animals, creating a lifetime of memories. Guests can book an up-close tour to meet and learn more about some of the most popular animals that call the park home, including dolphins, penguins, sea lions and killer whales.

Popular Shows

One Ocean

SeaWorld’s signature orca show connects guests to the sea and to whales. Providing a new level of energy and excitement, it educates and inspires people to make a difference in this world.

Dolphin Days

Dolphin Days offers an immersive and educational glimpse into the world of the ocean’s most playful ambassador, the Atlantic bottlenose dolphin. Throughout the show, the audience will see the personality of each animal, witness the special bond they share with their trainers and learn how to protect dolphins in the wild.

Seasonal Events

Seven Seas Food Festival

The Seven Seas Food Festival combines unique culinary delights with memorable performances on 14 consecutive Saturdays in spring. Each week, guests can sip and sample their way around the world of international coastal cuisine while enjoying craft beers, paired wines and specialty entertainment. The fun extends beyond the food with live performances from top country, rock and Latin music artists.

Electric Ocean at SeaWorld

Electric Ocean is an outrageous festival of lights, music and life that’s as vibrant as the sea itself. Guests can voyage into exotic underwater worlds that come alive as the sun sets with brilliant energy, electrifying dance music, and dazzling light. Guests can dance along to Shamu’s Celebration: Light Up The Night and then end their day with a fireworks and fountains spectacular that brings the brilliant colors of the sea to the skies above the park.

Halloween Spooktacular

Halloween meets the sea during SeaWorld Orlando’s Halloween Spooktacular. This family-friendly event immerses guests in an underwater “fantasea” with trick-or-treating, whimsical pumpkin fish, sea-themed arts and crafts and up-close animal encounters. The Halloween fun takes place every weekend late September through October and is included with park admission.

SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration

During SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration, holiday traditions are made. You’ll eat delicious food, see stunning live shows, do some delightful holiday shopping, take in joyous entertainment and meet Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and friends. SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration brings together family fun and holiday traditions on select nights, between Thanksgiving and Christmas, and is included with park admission.
