Feel the fear – or the frighteningly good fun – all over Singapore this Halloween. Teens can look forward to some truly terrifying stuff, trick or treating is the vibe for younger kids, and there are concerts and crafts for the faint of heart.

Halloween Horror Nights, Universal Studios Singapore
Strictly for over 13s, this one’s for the type of teens who live for jump scares and can’t get enough of horror movies (the gorier the better).
It’s a bit of a Universal Studios’ tradition to be fair, but this year they seem to be taking it up a notch with the theme ‘Evil Is Knocking’ and no fewer than five haunted houses, as well as three Scare Zones, two live shows and a horrific dining experience! Think IT meets All Of Us Are Dead, and you can decide whether your kids are likely to love it or not sleep for the next 365 nights.
When: now until 4 November 2023
Where: Universal Studios Singapore, Sentosa

Trick or Thrills, Universal Studios Singapore
Call us cowardly, but this one is much more our thing: slightly spooky, but mainly super cute, on Sentosa and lots of candy. In fact so much candy, kids get their own pumpkin bucket to collect it around the park.
No jump scares here, but it would be fun if your little ghouls got dressed up for the occasion – least they can do to meet the Minions. Character meet n greets aside, there are heaps of Halloween eats, a new Dance Battle and Drum show, plus lots and lots of rides: best type of chills.
When: now until 5 November 2023, 10am to 5pm
Where: Universal Studios Singapore, Sentosa

Halloween Trick or Treat, Marina Square
Would Halloween be Halloween without someone going for ‘spooktacular’? Prize goes to Marina Square this year, but they also get awards for one of the most all-round fun events too. From now until 31 October it’s frighteningly full-on with everything from photo-opp pop-ups and bouncy castles to slime workshops, spooky snacks, terrifying treats and a kids’ Halloween Party.
Plus the whole Marina Foyer Atrium has been transformed into a wicked wonderland. You need to book ahead for Elmer’s Slime Workshop.
When: now until 31 October 2023, 12pm to 8pm
Where: Marina Square, Raffles Boulevard

Halloween Clay Art, Mindful Space
Sweet and creative instead of hair raising is a fine way to do Halloween too, and Mindful Space is owning that mood this October. Kids age from 6 to 12 can unleash their sculpting talents in the two-hour Halloween Clay Art workshop, all materials are included and they get to make their own skeleton key chain.
Alternatively there’s scrape-art this Halloween as well at the Explore Chinese Bat-Scrape Art workshop, this one is for kids aged from 7 to 8 and again, all materials are included.
When: 29 October, 9am to 11am
Where: Mindful Space, Winstedt Road

Harrowing Halloween, Singapore Discovery Centre
It’s back, and as always parental guidance is advised, although this event is 13 and over only, as it should be. But, chilling as it all sounds with the haunted houses, dark lakes, haunted mazes and scare zones, it’s also Singapore Discovery Centre, so when teens aren’t shivering with fear, they could be learning, plenty.
Dreadflix is the chance to meet new filmmakers; there are challenges and prizes at the CCA Carnival; Charmed craft activities is the chance to create your own Halloween masterpiece, and the Lost In Fear 4D motion simulator is as an education is holding your nerve!
When: now until 29 October 2023, 7pm to 11pm
Where: Singapore Discovery Centre

Tim Burton soundtrack candlelight concert
Concerts by candlelight are unforgettably atmospheric, just add the music from every Tim Burton movie into the mix and you might have found the most original way to celebrate Halloween with over 8s this year. And for extra atmosphere, Candlelight Halloween is on All Hallows Eve itself, in dramatic CHIJMES Hall.
When: 31 October 2023, 7pm or 9pm
Where: CHIJMES Hall, Victoria Street

Opera Estate Trick or Treat
Looking for a timeless classic this Halloween, take your kids trick or treating at Opera Estate. We love the idea of dressing up our teeny ghosties and ghouls (or Disney Princesses) and doing what should be done at this time of year: knocking on doors and demanding candy. Although this one isn’t totally traditional as it comes with face painting, game booths, popcorn, candy floss and scare rooms.
When: 28 October 2023, 5.30pm to 9pm
Where: Opera Estate Football Field
