Nashville Zoo first opened in 1991 as a small, private zoo. Today it’s the ninth biggest in the US, attracts millions of visitors every year and covers more than 188 acres. Memphis Zoo – prepare for at least 148.4 moments of excitement every hour
From touching a giraffe’s tongue, ‘slimy’ to stroking camels ‘really soft’, kids have a lot to say about Memphis Zoo and lots of it good. More than 4,500 animals make their home here ranging between lions, tigers and giant panda to tiny bright blue azure poison dart frogs.
