The world’s largest living history museum, Colonial Williamsburg, will operate a brand-new engaging children’s program called the Lil’ Patriots Kid’s Club. As families visit the preserved 18th-cnetury Virginian capital, guests of Colonial Williamsburg Resorts can now find half- and full-day programs, as well as Friday night events, giving parents a chance to enjoy fine dining at one of the area restaurants.
“This is an opportunity for parents visiting Colonial Williamsburg Resorts to give their children an educational and interactive experience, and give parents their own time to treat themselves to our five-star spa, explore, or play a round of golf,” said Stephanie Meitz, Director of Lil’ Patriots Kid’s Club. “The club will offer activities for half day, full day and even Friday night out. Our goal is to help ensure the whole family gets the most from their Colonial Williamsburg Resorts experience.”
The sessions for the Lil’ Patriots Kid’s Club are open to all curious Colonial Williamsburg Resorts guests aged 4 through 12 years old during their visit, with pre-registration available. Sessions operate in the morning from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.and in the afternoon from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. during the week from Tuesday through Saturday. The Friday night “Kid’s Night Out” includes dinner and operates from 6 to 9 p.m.
Activities include but are not limited to outdoor group activities, mini golf, arts and crafts, livestock tour, colonial games, video games, cooks in the kitchen and building blocks. Attendees will also have the unique opportunity to do tricks and meet beloved Colonial Williamsburg Resorts mascot, Liberty the dog. When not at the kids’ club, kids can experience engaging experiences that transport them back to the 18th century across more than 500 restored and reconstructed buildings, museums, shops and more.
