Our family are crazy travellers. We do not usually stay in hotels. Instead, we do home exchange. My favourite trip was when we went to a town called Hossegor in France. I got VERY excited when I found out where we were going. The moment I was in Hossegor and I found out that I would have surfing lessons I went bizarre with delight.
I did a 5 day surfing course at our local surfing school. It was so great to be able to catch loads of waves! We had a local lake and it was great to be able to go to the beach almost every morning! We also had a swimming pool and it was open until 10 pm, and when we went to the lake we liked to eat oysters – it was like a mini beach!
Because we exchanged cars as well as houses, we were able to explore the whole Basque country – we even crossed the border between France and Spain, and spent a day in a beautiful city San Sebastian. I LOVE Spanish food such as tapas, and now I make it on my own in London.
I can’t wait till our next Holidays in Nice and Bordeaux!
