In September 2018 — one year after hurricanes ravaged the region — Family Traveller partnered with the British Virgin Islands to celebrate this incredible island paradise. Family Traveller moved its editorial team to the islands for a week to create the U.S. magazine's winter 2018 issue. The issue will be called "Built in the BVI."
As part of the campaign, we boated from island to island exploring all this stunning area has to offer and creating content for our next issue on-the-go. To further support the community, the magazine hired local interns, models and more.
From our eye-catching cover and fashion shoot to shareable web articles to fun social videos, there was no shortage of creative ways we found to promote the destination. It’s a story about rebirth, about remote work, about education, about entrepreneurialism, and — most of all — about encouraging families to explore the beautiful British Virgin Islands.
