The Best Family-Friendly Airlines

Last updated 10th July 2019

Flying with kids is no walk in the park. But these airlines are seriously upping the ante when it comes to flying the friendly skies with kids. Sit back, relax and enjoy these family-friendly perks.

Cool toys

Turkish Airlines has partnered with World Wildlife Fund Turkey to make air travel fun for its littlest passengers. Every child will be delighted when they’re handed a bag with a selection of cute wooden toys and a Biggles-style flying hat. These brilliant boredom busters are eco-friendly, too.

Free seats

Fly off to a South Pacific paradise on your family vacation with an even bigger smile on your face with Air Tahiti Nui. For each adult ticket purchased, one kid 11 and under flies free. Talk about a steal!

Skycouch

Comfort is key. Air New Zealand has introduced the innovative new Skycouch for parents, a seat that allows you and your baby to lie down safely during your flight.

In-flight nannies

Flying with kids is a breeze on Etihad Airways and Gulf Air, thanks to nannies who’ll look after your tots while you relax.

Kid-friendly menus

Lufthansa provides young guests with fun and variety on flights when it comes to food options. Rice pudding mouse, dragon feet and the hen house – these and other imaginative dishes are offered to young passengers on board all their long-haul flights. The dishes were created by the renowned 2-star Michelin chef Alexander Herrmann.

Organic baby meals

In an effort to make families’ travel experience with La Compagnie even more hassle-free, the all-business class boutique airline has launched a partnership with early childhood nutrition company Little Spoon to create fresh, inventive and organic meals.
