An Over-the-Moon Vacation Package for Little Space Lovers

Last updated 23rd April 2019

For space lovers and mini astronauts in the making, this is a year to celebrate. It’s the 50th anniversary of the Lunar Landing and The Post Oak Hotel at Uptown Houston is celebrating with a seriously out-of-this-world vacation package.

The package is for two and can be used for one parent and one child. The pair will be invited to celebrate the 50thanniversary of the Lunar Landing with a two-night stay at the hotel, a private lunch date with an astronaut at the NASA Johnson Space Center and $300 food and beverage credit at The Post Oak.

The adventure will begin with a round-trip private helicopter transfer to Ellington Field from the Post Oak’s own helipad. Upon arrival the duo will be greeted by a local Space City astronaut before stepping into a private car to the Space Center. The exclusive guided tour will include an inside look at an array of significant Apollo artifacts in addition to the center’s Neutral Buoyancy Lab, Building 9, Historic Mission Control, Current Mission Control and Rocket Park and more.

Young star gazers will love getting the chance to explore the Space Center and interact with a real astronaut. Plus, when you’ve finished your space mission, there’s still plenty of time to grab a CityPass and see everything else Houston has to offer families. Spoiler alert: the city is fabulous for kids. From chowing down on unbeatable food to the light-filled Butterfly Center at the Museum of Natural Science, there’s plenty to keep everyone entertained.
