Le Pavillon Hotel is the oldest continuously running hotel in New Orleans and is on the National Register for Historic Places. When you walk into Le Pavillon Hotel, it is like being transported into another era. One where southern hospitality and elegance were king. The chandeliers, marble floors and polished banisters welcome you as you enter the foyer and are greeted by attentive staff.
Le Pavillon offers several room styles for different family types, from king rooms, double queen rooms and large family suites. The suites are perfectly appointed for families, most of them boasting two bedrooms and a large, open family area, but even their standard rooms are spacious and stunningly beautiful. You'll find 226 rooms and suites, each outfitted with flat-screen TVs, Wi-Fi, and an elegance that matches the grandeur of the French Quarter.
Within steps of the best New Orleans has to offer, families can utilize concierge to help arrange self-guided and guided tours of the city. Meanwhile, at the hotel, a heated roof-top pool offers a stunning view of the city, day and night, and becomes a relaxing place for families to enjoy after sightseeing. Private cabana are available, as well.
What really takes the cake at Le Pavillon Hotel is the Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches and hot chocolate served every single evening. The story goes that over 30 year ago a traveler stayed at Le Pavillon and ordered a glass of milk from the bar. The traveler told the bartender that while he was away from his little girl, and to stay connected, they promised to have a glass of milk at 10pm every night while he was away. The little girl had a PB&J sandwich, but the traveler could never find anywhere to serve him one. But that night the bartender made it happen. And from that day on Le Pavillon has served PB&J every night!
Le Pavillon Hotel offers an incredible breakfast every morning Crystal Room, which is a gorgeous ballroom with high ceilings, chandeliers and portraits adorning the walls. The spectacular array of food is enough to fill you up for your journey into NOLA with a design-your-own-omelette station, fresh pastries, fresh fruit and more!
The Crystal Room also serves lunch and dinner daily, and room service is available 24 hours a day.
With all the amenities offered at Le Pavillon, it may be hard to leave, luckily the French Quarter and Bourbon street are just a short walk from the hotel, which is great for little feet that may need a break from exploring the city. It’s really the perfect place for families wanting a true New Orleans experience.
