Following the devastation of Hurricane Maria and a multi-million dollar renovation, Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Puerto Rico Golf & Beach Resort will reopen on March 1, 2018.
The grand opening will unveil new culinary offerings, including a $1.2-million renovation of the resort’s modern restaurant Marbella, and the addition of the Caicu Rum Bar. The lush oceanfront resort received refreshed spaces on its 1-mile beachfront property with two 18-course golf courses, international tennis center, 7,000-square-foot spa, and entertainment venues.
In support of Puerto Rico’s recovery efforts, one dollar from every room night booked by all guests in March and April will be donated to the El Yunque Rainforest Restoration Fund.
“We are eager to welcome travelers back to our newly renovated resort to celebrate this beautiful island,” said Nils Stolzlechner, general manager of Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Puerto Rico Golf & Beach Resort. “During the last few months the spirit of Puerto Rico has grown stronger than ever, and we are incredibly grateful and proud that together we have restored this region back into an incredible travel destination.”
