Visit California and Little Passports Unite

Last updated 16th October 2017

Visit California and Little Passports have teamed up to help kids and their families enjoy all the unique locations the Golden State has to offer.  By working together the goal is to encourage hands-on learning to inspire and create a new generation of travel explorers.

Little Passports is a subscription service priced from $12.95 per month that delivers the world straight to your child’s door. Each month a package will arrive full of new travel-related maps, activities, games, crafts and books designed around a particular travel theme or destination. Different programs are available geared with age appropriate, fun learning for children ages 3 to 12. The idea for Little Passports began in 2009 with two moms Stella Ma and Amy Norman, best friends and simply wanted to help inspire the love of travel in children. Today they have delivered over 3 million packages to happy kids everywhere. Thanks to this new partnership, Little Passports has created online content that now includes educational information about the Golden State also available online. Additional plans are in the works to offer Little Passport activities at California Welcome Centers later this year.

Back in February, Visit California launched its family campaign complete with TV commercials, YouTube videos and online children’s content. “Kidiformia” – where kids rule and are encouraged to bring their parents for a trip of a lifetime. Kidifornia is full of fabulous ideas, itineraries, planning materials and unique travel experiences for kids of all ages (and that especially means parents).  This is where families will find travel details about everything from the San Diego Zoo, Theme Parks, Hollywood, Alcatraz to the Redwoods. Visit Visit California’s website for more information and to get your free California Official State Visitor’s Guide.
