Viking River Cruises are growing so much in popularity that the company has ordered seven new ships to debut in 2019. Six of the new ships, Viking Longships, will sail the Rhine, Main and Danube Rivers, while the seventh ship will sail the Douro River in Portugal.
The new longships will offer 95 staterooms, two Explorer Suites, and seven Veranda Suites to accommodate a total of 190 guests. The new Douro River Ship, designed for “Portugal’s River of Gold” itinerary, joins three ships currently sailing in Portugal with 56 staterooms and 106 passenger availability.
Although bookings are not yet available for the 2019 new ships, U.S. residents can find 2-for-1 cruises and free international air on select itineraries if book by October 31, 2017. The deal is good on river and ocean cruises, by visiting Viking’s website.
