Tampa Zoo Expands with Water Ride

Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo announced its biggest expansion with the upcoming launch on Roaring Springs, a new water adventure flume ride. Replacing the former flume ride, Roaring Springs will be bigger, better, and the largest expansion at the zoo in 10 years.

Roaring Springs will gently glide along a spring, surrounded by native landscape and wildlife, before a three-story splashdown begins the rip-roaring splash ride. During the ride, passengers will see alligators, panthers, deer and black bears featured in the Florida region of the zoo. The region will also receive new upgrades in the expansion.

The new ride will open in 2018, and the zoo promises fun seasonal events, new up-close animal encounters and signature experiences to accompany the expansion.
