CocoCay, the cruise line’s private Bahamian island, is wrapping up a $200-million transformation that, as Bayley promises, is all about families. Highlights of the island will include a thrilling waterpark with 135-tall Daredevil’s Peak waterslide and 12 additional water slides dropping from extreme water towers, as well as the Caribbean’s largest and freshwater pools. Kids of all ages can also get their thrills on the 50-foot-tall, 1,600-foot zip line, a kid-friendly obstacle course pool. and a 450-foot float up in a helium balloon, providing amazing Caribbean views.

Bayley, a father of two, also knows the importance of just relaxing on vacation, which is why CocoCay will also feature Chill Island. Here, families will find over-the-water cabana bungalows for quiet time together, complete with pristine white sand beaches, and even private water slides to get you right into the sea.

The island transformation will roll out beginning in September 2018, and completing by spring 2019. “We are introducing the Perfect Day Island Collection to deliver the most memorable vacation for adventure seekers on land and on board our ships. Once completed Perfect Day at CocoCay will be the ultimate family destination in the Caribbean,” said Bayley.

Although the lead reveal was CocoCay, Royal Caribbean also announced it would be spending $900 million to upgrade its current fleet in an effort called Royal Amplified, and introduced new ships debuting between 2019 and 2024.
