The Efteling team is looking for a special person to be part of the theme park’s next stage of development. By 2020, the magical family theme park in the south of Holland plans to increase its size and open a new world-class attraction.
Since its opening in 1952, more than 130 million visitors have experienced Efteling. Over the years, it has grown to become one of Europe’s biggest theme parks, with a unique fairytale atmosphere and a wide range of thrilling attractions, all set in natural surroundings. Efteling is open year-round and is an ideal family short-break destination, with the Efteling Hotel and the holiday villages Efteling Bosrijk and Efteling Loonsche Land just a stone’s throw away.
Efteling wants a theme-park fan aged 12 or under to become its official Head of Wonder, helping to suggest creative and innovative ideas that will take Efteling to the next level. This is your family’s chance to be part of this exciting development.
Eurotunnel Le Shuttle will be partnering with Efteling in the search for a Head of Wonder, and the winner of the competition will travel to Efteling in style, starting with their arrival at the Flexiplus lounge in Folkstone, with an array of light snacks and drinks to enjoy before departing on the 35-minute journey to the continent. The fun of Efteling is just three hours and 30 minutes from the Calais Eurotunnel le Shuttle, making this the quickest route. And when travelling by car there are no packing limitations, meaning the winners will be able to bring home as many souvenirs as they like!

Efteling would like your child to tell us what ‘wonder’ means to them, whether it’s an idea for a new ride, something based on the most wondrous experience they’ve had on holiday, or a concept from deep in their imagination!
