Bordered on the east by the Caribbean Sea and on the west by the Pacific Ocean, Costa Rica offers adventure, relaxation, romance and exploration. With an abundance of unique wildlife, landscapes and micro climates the country proudly shelters approximately five percent of the existing biodiversity in the world, with protected areas comprising 26 percent of its land mass. From mountain ranges and rain forests to active volcanoes and cloud forests to breath-taking beaches, Costa Rica’s diversity of landscapes, micro climates and natural wonders provides visitors with unlimited experiences.
We’ve partnered up with the Costa Rica Tourist Board to offer one family the chance to win a seven night family holiday for four to discover Costa Rica. Visiting some of the most iconic parts of the country, this incredible holiday will see you visiting the capital, San Jose, before journeying onto Tortuguero National Park, Arenal and Manuel Antonio.
Tortuguero National Park is one of the country’s major tourist attractions, internationally recognized for its protection of the largest green turtle nesting beach in the Western Hemisphere. Far-removed from the city and composed of an extensive network of rivers and streams, access is possible only on small boats. Tortuguero National Park is a place like no other.
Arenal Volcano is one of the most instantly recognisable landscapes in Costa Rica and Arenal Volcano National Park is one of the most visited destinations in the North of the country. There is much to do in and around the area, from suspension bridges providing nature trail routes through the forest treetops to ziplining to bathing in thermal springs.
Manuel Antonio contains a charming combination of rainforest, beaches and coral reefs. The beaches are the most beautiful in the country, lined with lush forest, and the snorkelling is excellent too. The forest is home to sloths, iguanas, the rare and adorable squirrel monkeys and millions of colourful little crabs.
