New for 2016

Families can look forward to plenty of surprises and innovations this season. Between the French and English themed areas, the area formerly known as ‘Children’s World’ will be given a new theme in early 2016 in the form of the Emerald Isle. Set among the hills of Ireland, the new Ireland themed area contains an idyllic little fishing village, and kids will love the children’s swing boat, rollercoaster and tractor rides.

Opening in late spring with numerous attractions, a large indoor play area and a range of new tasty dining options, this will be the highlight of the new season. With traditionally Irish details and design, guests of all ages will be able to discover the beauty of Ireland.

What’s more, the 4D Magic Cinema will boast a new film adventure called ‘Happy Family’ and from the start of the season visitors will be able to race through a scarily beautiful ‘Happy Family’ animation on the YoungStar Rollercoaster, Pegasus VR-Ride.

Experience all of Europe in one day

Whether it’s Scandinavia, Spain or Switzerland – as of early 2016, visitors to Europa-Park will be able to discover 14 European countries in one single day. The various themed areas boast detailed architecture, native plant life and authentic food. Numerous attractions will get rollercoaster fans’ pulses racing. Guests who like life fast and furious and are brave enough won't want to miss the wooden rollercoaster, WODAN – Timburcoaster in Iceland, or be shot through the air at 100 km/h on the catapult rollercoaster, blue fire Megacoaster powered by GAZPROM.

Those looking for something calmer can look forward to a vibrant range of entertainment. In Italy, guests will fly through the air with Volo da Vinci, while in the Greek themed area, you can immerse yourselves in the modern projection show Beautiful Europe in the Dreamtime Dome, the largest mobile digital 360-degree cinema in the world. Mother Hulda, Rapunzel and Cinderella await young visitors in Grimm’s Enchanted Forest, where you can explore mystical worlds along with Hansel and Gretel.

The family attraction, ARTHUR – In the Minimoy’s Kingdom, on the other hand, makes the dream of being up close with tremendous natural scenery a reality. During a 550 metre-long flight over the subterranean universe, visitors use all their senses to experience seven fantastic kingdoms.
