What’s new? Royal Caribbean is launching a new cruise ship called Anthem of the Seas in 2015, described as the most innovative and biggest cruise ship ever to be based from the UK. The new-look vessel will carry almost 4,200 passengers and will sail to the Mediterranean and other ports in Europe.
With 16 decks and at 348 metres long, Anthem of the Seas will be the equivalent in length of 32 London buses or three and a half football pitches – so it will have more activities than any other cruise ship to entertain multi-generational families.
Full of family entertainment, the new ship includes a sky diving simulator, bumper cars and a glass pod based on the design of the London Eye, which will extend 300ft above the ocean to give 360-degree views over the ship.
As the name hints, the Anthem of the Seas is sure to keep any music-loving kids entertained with an intimate music venue called the Music Hall which will have DJs and a series of live sets with top musicians. There will also be the cool Two70° venue – a three-storey bar with floor-to-ceiling glass walls to give you fantastic views over the sea.
