What’s new? St James’s Club Morgan Bay in St Lucia has just re-launched its kids’ club and has packed it full of fun of activities. Open for children between the ages of two and 12, the club is free and will have your troop frolicking in the adventure playground, on the miniature football pitch, and playing inside the brightly coloured arts and crafts area or enjoying cooking lessons in the kitchen.
They’ll learn to swim in twice-weekly lessons, or there’s tennis coaching for children aged three and up. Fashion shows, discos and big screen movies will keep older children busy in the evenings, while bookworms will love the library, which has been put together in partnership with Puffin Books.
The collaboration between the hotel and publishers extends to special events with children’s book authors and illustrators, starting with Rachel Bright (illustrator of My Sister is an Alien and What does Daddy Do?) who will be in St Lucia for two weeks from 12 August running the kids’ club. Sessions with Rachel will include arts and crafts, such as making monster masks and dressing up as superheroes, as well as interactive theatre, where children will perform stories they’ve made up themselves.
