What’s new? The Hilton London Syon Park has partnered with Swim Stars, an initiative set up by Rebecca Adlington, four time Olympic medallist and Great Britain’s most successful swimmer, – not to mention contestant on in I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here – which encourages children to learn to swim in a fun and safe environment. Swim Stars classes run three times a week in the hotel’s 15-metre swimming pool, set in the 200-acre estate. The ambitious project, in partnership with Total Swimming, reflects Adlington’s vision to ensure that every child in Britain is able to swim 25 metres by the end of primary school.
While the kids get down to business, there’s plenty for parents at the hotel in Twickenham. Kallima Spa has massages and facials for men and women, while the Club House is a lovely place to dip into a good book with a coffee in hand, or a glass of wine with friends.
More information: The sessions run on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 4-6pm. A 12-week course costs £144. The initiative is also operating in other parts of the country.
