Don’t miss your chance to see the critically acclaimed, 2015 Olivier award-nominated, production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s CATS showing from 23 OCT 2015 – 2 JAN 2016 at the London Palladium and starring the Queen of British Soul Beverley Knight as Grizabella.

After last year’s sell-out season in the West End, this new production of the outstanding musical is absolutely perfect for the Christmas season and truly gives CATS a revamp for a new generation.

The musicals tells the story of a tribe of cats called Jellicles. On just one special night of the year, all Jellicle cats meet at the Jellicle Ball where Old Deuteronomy, their leader, makes the ultimate choice and announces which one of them will go up to The Heaviside Layer to be reborn into a whole new Jellicle life. With beautifully crafted sets, timeless music, spectacular choreography and of course the unforgettable ‘Memory’, CATS is a magical musical like no other.

The idea for CATS the musical is based on the iconic book of poems by T S Elliot, Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats, in the 1930s. What was originally intended to be some fun for the children, became something appealing and amusing to adults. The first stage production followed 50 years later in October 1982, and continued to entertain audiences until September 2000.

CATS has had resounding success and has been presented in over 300 cities across 30 countries. Today CATS has been watched by over 55 million people all around the world and it’s honestly no surprise, from it’s stage producing to it’s actors, its mesmerising.  So let CATS thrill you once again until 2 January 2016.
