Arrow Discover more

Recently voted Skytrax Airline of the Year, and Skytrax Best Business Class, Qatar Airways are clearly in a mood to celebrate. Because from now until the end of September, they’re giving families a free overnight stay in the Qatari capital, Doha.

All you have to do is book your Qatar Airways’ flight before 31 August 2017, and arrange your free pre-approved transit visa online. Then the rest is really just about enjoying the journey, staying in a luxury four or five star hotel, and discovering why Doha is known as a ‘New Seven World Wonders City’.

48 hours in the dazzling capital of Qatar

What’s a ‘New Seven World Wonders City’? Well, Durban and Kuala Lumpur are for a start, but it only takes a minute in Doha to realise it’s in a league of its own.

The extraordinary skyline contains some of the Middle East’s most innovative contemporary architecture. Dip down to the seven kilometre long Doha Corniche, and the Persian Gulf views are truly astonishing.

Or take a step back, look behind the gloss, and you’ll find a mesmerising heritage traced through the city’s historic quarters where ancient souks still bustle, and beautiful wooden dhow sail the waterways.

Kids might be up for high-energy adventures: between the city’s thrilling Aquapark, and enormous Villagio Mall, Doha ticks the family wish list for those too and for the animal enthusiasts head down to Souq Waqif to see camels, horses and falcons.

A generous approach to family air travel

Qatar Airway’s Doha offer has a time limit, but the airline’s generous attitude to family air travel is entirely unlimited. Wide, spacious seats with extra legroom come as standard in Economy, along with fresh pillows and fleecy blankets.

Business Class has beds with built-in back massage functions, and thoughtfully designed sleeper suits and slippers. Both enjoy over 3000 entertainment options, and personal LCD screens.

Fun toys, comforting travel companions like Mr Potato Head and Elefun, classic board games, and their own Young Travellers’ TV channel, make kids feel more like Qatar Airways’ honoured guests than mere passengers.

Even their meals are specially prepared, and presented in cute, Pictureka or Monopoly lunch boxes: perfect for even the pickiest eater.

Then, just to add a little extra pleasure into the Qatar Airways’ experience, you can choose to fly out of London Heathrow, Manchester, Birmingham and Edinburgh. Whichever’s best for you, you still have a free overnight stay in Doha to look forward to.

The offer

Qatar Airways’ Doha Stopover offer is available to all transit passengers booking a flight before 31 August 2017, and travelling before 30 September 2017.
