Blenheim Palace Family Cycling Day

Last updated 14th June 2017

On the 16 August families are invited to take part in a unique cycle ride around the picturesque parkland of Blenheim Palace, a World Heritage site.

You will cycle around the spectacular Lake and over the Grand Bridge, taking in the magnificent scenery and fresh air, and even stopping off for a relaxing picnic on the way.

There is no age restriction for children to participate and visitors can go at their own leisure – just make sure to bring your bicycles and helmets.

This year’s event offers an exciting competitive element for more serious cyclists, with the Blenheim Palace Sportive making a return. Riders of the sportive will have the choice of a 100 mile or 60 mile route featuring a series of rolling climbs.

First aid will be on site throughout the day, however children must wear appropriate safety equipment whilst cycling and must be accompanied by an adult.

After a day of cycling, families can relax in Blenheim Palace’s Pleasure Gardens, the perfect place to unwind and enjoy time together. The Pleasure Garden Deli will be running their outdoor BBQ for anyone craving a juicy burger, and children can also explore the outdoor exhibitions including the Butterfly House, Marlborough Maze and Adventure Play Area.

When: 16 August

Admission: Park & Gardens ticket required: adult £13.50 / child £6.60 (age 5-16) / concession £10.20 / family £36.00 (two adults and two children)
