Last updated 3rd January 2017

Nothing says summertime like the sweet smell of flowers, fresh-from-the-garden produce, and homemade handicrafts. Whether you’re in the north or in the south, if you’re looking for the perfect venture for a sunny, warm day, get the kids outdoors at the RHS Flower Shows at Hampton Court Palace or Tatton Park.

RHS HAMPTON COURT PALACE FLOWER SHOW (8—13 JULY)

Interactive activities such as wildlife demonstrations featuring butterflies and owls, as well as potting and planting stations are on hand for the little ones. The Flower Show will also continue its traditional Scarecrow contest—this year’s theme being World War I. Parents will adore the vast array of food options available and the whole family will have the chance to marvel at the circus-themed Rose and Floristry Marquee flower arrangements.
