Make your family holiday to Scotland stress free by taking advantage of the many family discounts offered around the country.
The Historic Scotland Explorer Pass, which costs only £17 for children and £29 for adults for three days, in which time you could visit over 78 sites (if you’re really quick), a five-day ticket is also available. Sites include Edinburgh Castle, St Andrew’s Cathedral, Stirling Castle, Skara Brae Prehistoric Village and Kinnaird Head Lighthouse.
Better still is the ScotRail’s Kids Go Free offer, which is valid when children are with a full-paying adult at places such as Aberdeen’s Satrosphere, Edinburgh Zoo, Glasgow Science Centre, Loch Lomand Sea Life Aquarium, Scottish Seabird Centre and the Scotch Whisky Experience. If you’re planning on taking in all those sites you might need to jump on a train and with the Kids Go Free offer, those between the ages of five and 15 travel free with each adult.
