2/15 Cardiff Children’s Literature Festival

Love books? Then you’ll be in cover-to-cover cloud nine at the Cardiff Children’s Literature Festival. There are over 50 events taking place across the capital and you can join authors and illustrators as they make their words and pictures come to life with amazing tales, storytimes and performances featuring a cast of spellbinding characters.

Just some of the bookish people coming to the city include Roald Dahl Funny Prize winner Andy Stanton, festival favourite David Solomons, Hugless Douglas creator David Melling, picture book author and illustrator Chris Haughton, BBC’s Mike Dilger, Anni Llŷn (Welsh Children's Poet Laureate) and illustrator Nick Sharratt. There are Q&A sessions, interactive workshops, outdoor writing events, draw-your-own-adventures, a chance to make magic lotions and potions, crafty activities galore, the opportunity to explore the dark side of Victorian Cardiff, solve mysteries and so much more. Check out the website and start your reading adventure.

25 March – 2 April, various locations in Cardiff

Some events are free, others are ticketed
