Why go?

The Andaz Peninsula Papagayo, on the Peninsula Papagayo in Costa Rica, combines innovation and luxury, with the design influenced heavily by the local surroundings. Open free-flowing rooms and cocoon-shaped buildings are surrounded by thick jungle rainforest and empty beaches with clear Caribbean water.

There’s a wide-variety of fun and exciting activities for all the family.

Relax: Adults will enjoy the hotel’s relaxing spa treatments, the 18-hole Arnold Palmer championship golf course, or catching up on some R&R at the adult only pool or relaxation beach.

Dive in: The watersports beach has kite surfing, bodyboarding, paddle boarding, and jet skiing, as well as snorkelling and kayaking excursions, all of which will provide endless entertainment for older children and teens.

The resort’s Cambi Kids Club is available for children aged 4-12, and has a mix of educational and traditional games, along with fun arts and crafts. All activities are supervised by the hotel’s professional children’s staff.

Explore: If families want to explore the local area, the resort will help arrange excursions to the nearby national parks, like Barra Honda National Park, where families can go on guided tours of underground caverns like the Mushroom Hall; Hall of the Caves and Caverna Nicoya; and Rincón de le Vieja National Park, which features the Arenal volcano.

Adventure: Families craving more adventure can go white water rafting, go rock climbing or rappelling, zip line through the Monteverde Cloud Forest canopy, or for the truly brave, have a go on the 30 metre Tarzan Swing.
