Awesome Underbelly Festival on London's Southbank

London’s South Bank is always a sure bet for family fun with multiple attractions beside the mighty River Thames. This summer, there are even more reasons to go now that the Underbelly Festival is up and running.

This mini festival, just a short walk from Waterloo Station, is an oasis of summer fun with a cracking line-up of comedy, circus, cabaret and special family shows. If you want to wow your kids, book tickets to see ‘Catch Me’, a thrilling modern take on circus skills by Flip Fabrique, a group of young circus artists from Quebec, Canada.

You simply will not believe what they do is possible, whether it’s gravity defying trampolining or synchronised Diabolo tricks. Whilst being on the edge of your seats, this show is also moving and funny, and will no doubt inspire your kids to join circus school.

Performances take place in The Belly Theatre, and afterwards you can stroll around the festival enclosure with its fab food stations and Pimms counter. There are leafy glades to sit and eat and a SNOG double decker bus just outside by the river for frozen ice cream.
