New summer activities for kids at KidZania London

Arrow Discover more

Summer in KidZania is warming up to be one of the coolest ever. With kids in charge of the city as usual, you can expect plenty of high-energy fun, laughs, and loads of learning in the mix too.

Young urban adventurers probably won’t spot that last one right off, since KidZania are the world’s leading experts at concealing education in the excitement. So how does that work? Have a look at what’s on in July and August for four to 14 year olds and all will be revealed.

KidZania’s sensational Summer Camp is back for 2018

Lots more time to do the things they love is what summer is all about for kids, and it’s no different at KidZania. This year’s Summer Camp kicks off on 30 July, runs right through until 16 August and makes the most of every week day by giving kids longer to get to grips with their chosen professions.

Which is a fantastic way to explore the world of work, try out different roles to see what fits best, really find out how the kids-only city runs, and have more downtime to hang-out in fun zones like the Face Painting Studio, Ice Cream Shop or Just Dance Club. It might be the school holidays, but KidZania University is still open for ambitious future high-earners to study new subjects, sit exams and earn the degrees they need for the jobs they want.

If one day of Summer Camp just isn’t enough, add extra days and pay less for ticket prices. The more days you book, the bigger the discounts, right up to a massive saving of 25% on five days.

Get kids involved in incredible engineering this summer

2018 is The Year of Engineering, a government initiative aimed at celebrating the wonder of engineering and all the ways it’s worked into every-day life. It’s a fantastically exciting concept and KidZania have been totally on-board right from the start: holding brilliant workshops, designing new activities and teaming up with partners from the engineering world to encourage kids to experiment, engage and understand the incredible science.

Got a budding Padmasree Warrior, Ruchi Sanghvi or Isambard Kingdom Brunel on your hands?  Book KidZania between 20 August and 2 September and let the Engineering Development Trust team inspire them with some seriously creative tower and bridge building. As always, you can expect kids to pick up plenty of know-how in the process, although seeing how high they can go is a big part of the experience, and it’s amazing fun too,
of course.

Have a Feel Good Family Sunday

Since rules are made to be broken, or at least bent a little, KidZania are lifting the citywide ban on grown-ups for one day a week, starting on 17 June 2018. It’s an idea championed by Heart Radio and has the full backing of kids themselves – they’re in charge of the city after all – so you can expect to be warmly welcomed. And it’s a great chance to try out new stuff like being a DJ at the Heart Radio Station, making wraps at Mission Deli or reporting news for Metro – you know you want to.
