A beach or lakeside parc suits families who want to base themselves in one spot and let the kids loose on watersports, pedalos and the pool. Mountain and countryside parcs tend to be quieter and better suited to walking, cycling and slower days, while parcs closer to cities give you the option of day trips without giving up the space of a holiday home to come back to.

Choosing between a Campsite, Village or Resort

Eurocamp splits its parcs into three types and the difference matters more than the names suggest. If your children are younger and go to bed early, a Campsite is likely to suit better. If you’ve got school-age kids after a packed few days, a Village or Resort is the safer bet.

What’s actually included

Most parcs have a water complex of some kind, from outdoor or indoor pools to full waterparks, plus restaurants on-site, so you’re not reliant on driving off for every meal.

Activities vary by parc but commonly include adventure courses, zip wires, tennis and padel, archery, horse riding, mini farms and pedalos, alongside evening entertainment once the sun goes down. None of this is guaranteed at every single parc, so if a specific activity is what’s selling the trip to your kids, it’s worth confirming it’s actually on offer at the parc you book rather than assuming.

Kids’ clubs run free of charge and are split by age, from toddlers through to teenagers, which is worth checking ahead if you’re planning on it for some downtime. A number of parcs also allow dogs, if that’s a factor in your planning.

The accommodation is the real difference

This isn’t a campsite in the traditional sense. Eurocamp’s holiday homes are detached, self-catering units with separate bedrooms, a proper kitchen and bathroom, ranging from two to six bedrooms and sleeping up to 12. That range makes it a practical option for families travelling with grandparents or another family, since everyone gets their own space and self-catering keeps costs down if you’d rather not eat out for every meal.

The holiday homes are also worth factoring in when comparing the price against a hotel-based package. A self-catering week with three or four bedrooms tends to work out cheaper per person than booking multiple hotel rooms, even before the current discount is applied.

What’s included in Eurocamp’s August offer?

The 20% discount applies to selected parcs and accommodation types for August 2026 holidays, with a minimum stay of five nights and it can be combined with Eurocamp’s other discounts, including the Loyalty Bonus, Boosted Loyalty Bonus, Stay Longer Save More and the Single Parent Family discount. The minimum holiday cost after any discounts have been applied is £50.
