Here are a few of the activities we particularly liked:
- A Resort Tour to explore the property, including the kids’ club and adventure park.
- Polynesian Show where we witnessed a mesmerizing performance of fire twirling and traditional dances.
- Sip and Paint engaged us in a creative session with a local artist, coupled with coral planting.
- A visit to the Nakoro Cultural Centre for a deep dive into Fijian heritage.

Day 5 and 6: Add island hopping to your Fiji family vacation
A short ferry ride takes you to Castaway Island Resort, which is a private island paradise where you stay in traditional Fijian bures and enjoy activities tailored for families.
We managed to fit quite a few experiences into our two days here including:
- A Torch Lighting Ceremony, which is an evening tradition by the Malua Pool.
- Snorkeling and Coral Planting where we learned about marine conservation while exploring vibrant underwater worlds.
- Fijian Cooking Lessons that allowed us to cook and savor local dishes with expert guidance.
- A traditional Meke Performance which immersed us in Fijian music and dance.
- Kava Ceremony, another iconic cultural ritual we were privileged to experience.

Our last day, at Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort
Enjoy a leisurely morning at Castaway Island Resort before heading to the Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort for a relaxing final night in Fiji.
I particularly liked this resort because it’s close to the airport. Also, you can check-in for flights and check-in your luggage directly from the hotel, so you just have to go through security at the airport.

Parents will love that all the resorts have a nanny service and it’s very affordable especially with the exchange rate. It’s between $6-10 USD per hour for a nanny to care for your child if you want to go and explore some of the more adult activities. Most resorts also have a kids club for free.
